hey I think I have some problems because I can‘t open it,by the way I use the macOS . Is there anyone can help me?OMG I am looking forward to playing it because it has the Chinese…QAQ
Sometimes I wish this could continue wondering what you would add it's just such a cool game, I wanna download ur other games but my transaction never works 😔 , but then playing your game was SOOO nice
How do u get the other ending pls I keep getting the same thing -_-, but ANYWAYS I love ur game sooooo much u should create more like this it's AMAZING🤩
This was pretty good, I enjoyed the story, the characters, and a lot of the music that went on in the background- it definitely added to the mood. However, one thing I would like to mention is that I did not enjoy the fact that I needed to go back on the other route to reach the ending. I understand how important it is to understand both sides of the story, but maybe if that could have been done without me needing to start over, that would have been wonderful. I'm not trying to be critical though, just something to keep in mind for your next game. All in all though, it was an enjoyable game to play, I enjoyed the characters, the story, the setting, and the way it was all pulled together :D
What does it mean by the "Leslie Route?" I'm fairly new to these games and I don't know what it means. I've tried pressing different choices but it still won't let me continue the story.
Leslie's route (which is focused on his relationship with Richter, instead of Eastman's) can be reached by choosing the options in this screenshot (spoiler warning). Let us know if you're still having any trouble!
Overview: This game is great. It's financially accessible, disabled accessible, PG-13, Boy Love Visual Novel with a handy glossary.
Trigger warnings:
Vague mention of child abuse and domestic violence, not detailed,
Alcohol use and drunk depictions (of course),
There are two love interests but the ending is the same, which makes it a short and sweet game, which I enjoyed while suffering from acute illness. I mean, I had fever before playing, but I'm pretty sure some of the cuteness of the detective and smoothness of the mobster was also contributing to that. fans self Goodness.
I'm a Baccano lover, and it's made me interested in prohibition era stuff. One of the great things about this game is it has special slang and time relevant words highlighted for you to access in the glossary, to gain a better understanding.
As an autistic person this is fantastic, as I often find figures of speech make 0 sense to me, even if I know roughly in what situations they tend to be used in. Learning some 1920's slang helped me make connections to their modern equivalent slang, and that was pretty awesome. And it'll come in handy when reading the Baccano books I got~
The love interests are incredibly charismatic, I really liked both of them and was satisfied with their routes and the ending! I wish there was more though!
This game is fantastic and I'm especially appreciative of the fact it's free.
Pros:
Gay representation
Not heavily sexual
Wholesome mobster
Glossary of relevant words and context points
2 routes but joint ending is novel and satisfying
Cons
It seems to have a script error code sometimes coming up when I click on some glossary words, which can force the game to quit without saving. However all glossary words can be found from the menu, and all seem to work eventually,
No diversity, all characters are white and thin.
Accessibility
Sound is great. Nice smooth jazz mostly which isn't overpowering,
There is no voice acting, so no need for close captions for sounds/words,
Visuals are crisp and clear with a soft palette. Anime style character design = handsome men,
No flashing lights or shaking images,
Free/financially accessible.
Suggestions:
Provide trigger warnings,
Increase diversity in future games, whether by adding brown people, bigger people, trans people or disabled people. Preferably not just one either.
lol I come back 2 years after finishing this and found whoa that's a lot of translations haha. I mean not every game has Chinese translations, including this one at that time, which kinda improved my English...I still consider it one of my favourites after playing dozens of games cuz it's just too amazing. A bit short though because I'm definitely willing to see more lol
Hey! Sorry to bother but when I downloaded the new version(the windows one) of this game (mainly to read the translations) and opened it, it showed me this:
```
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
its been a year and i still think about this game. it just all slotted together well. I've never seen a thesaurus implemented into a visual novel apart from this one. i learnt things from this game. thank you very much.
How do I say this... quite immersive, sure, but not something that pulls you in easily. A bit fast paced for my liking, but overall, the art was great. Though, I guess you could improve the CGs with a bit more detail and kind of touch up a bit of inconsistencies in the body proportions. The music perfectly balanced and looped + accurate, gentle to the ears and yet, still upbeat. Story was historically accurate, especially with the slang. It's clear that you need to play it 2 times to get the full ending.
6.8/10 pretty good, though could have some improvements
What the heck this game was too short! The end scene was great XD
The dictionary, and the overall GUI and aesthetic was fantastic. The story was intriguing and the characters were all very likeable. The BL scenes were subtle and they did not disrupt from the story or personalities of the characters. I liked it lots.
Oh my... I really enjoyed this game! At first I was a little afraid that it will be another typical story with BL , but I was wrong! Story was mega nice for me to read. I just loved this little details like words that I don't know has links to its meanings. For someone it's nothing, but for me it was really nice thing, especcialy when English it's not my nativ language and some of words was not understable for me. So it's really nice detail.
The music... For the love of Fate, I just love it so much. It was amazingly good for all atmosphere. I don't know how to decribe how much I love it. Even when I ended game I was listening to it.
Right now I'm only sad that I found this game so late! Really amazing job!
I love this game. The fact that it's so short makes me sad. I really wish this was just a demo for a longer story. =_( Love the concept, the art style and the glossary. It's different. =)
This is so far the best BL game I've played in a while. It's a bit short but very interesting, especially for someone like me who is not american and doesn't know much about the country's history. The slang dictionary is really impressive! Also I enjoyed the characters and their interactions very much. And I was very pleased with the ending, threesome is a nice choice :D Thank you so much for this game, it's a real jewel.
At first, the single tied ending threw me off a bit, and I couldn't imagine how that would exactly work. But to my suprise, I actually really enjoyed this game ^^ The characters were very funny, and had adorable interactions with eachother. I also loved the more educational side of it, especially reading all the slang infos. Really good work ^^ Edit: I forgot to mention, the music is amazing! After finishing I just kept my game on for a bit to listen to it, haha.
I loved Your Dry Delight. The music was great and liked how they had a glossary for all the 1920s words we didn't know. I just wish it was longer and had some sexual content.
I am a big fan of argent games and I had so much fun playing this! I feel that it was spicey enough for a free game. The era of time was such an interesting choice and I really enjoyed how you guys played with that. Looking forward to your other games!
I only got to the point of Leslie and Meyer deciding that they were going to meet in a hotel. My screen just qent black and then said to do Leslie's route. Is that the ending of the game?
Another great game from argent games. It has a really good story hooking the readers and always getting them interested for more. It's a free game and for a game that is free like this. It has a really high quality. I just wished I could've supported you guys when this game was being made. Pretty sure the story would be longer. I applaud you guys and the team members part of this project for working hard and doing quite of a research on the history of it.
hey I think I have some problems because I can‘t open it,by the way I use the macOS . Is there anyone can help me?OMG I am looking forward to playing it because it has the Chinese…QAQ
天哪,这简直是年度最佳,配乐恰到好处,更不可思议的是居然有汉化!!!!!!嘎嘎冲
老铁我不知道为什么总是意外退出,救救我吧呜呜呜好不容易找到一个有汉化的QAQ我是mac系统的
找这个游戏文件夹,右边对应有程序应用点开就行,我也不太玩的转电脑...
Hnggg don't stop even when someone knocks the door please
Ah thank you! Except for some occasional bugs, I am loving the game so far :)
Fun, slightly steamy, and surprisingly educational game.
Detailed review below; 5/5 Stars
I've tried deleting the old version and re-unzipping the game, but it doesn't work. Any ways to solve this? :(
(btw the old version works fine
Thanks for letting us know about this crash. Can you try the latest version and see the error is gone?
Yes it's gone :) Thank you for fixing it!
I get this crash sometimes on the steam version for certain words, not sure what the issues are but I was playing it last month on steam.
loved this a lot, v cool
its been a year and i still think about this game. it just all slotted together well. I've never seen a thesaurus implemented into a visual novel apart from this one. i learnt things from this game. thank you very much.
I can translate your game into Spanish, if you wish.
Very great game. Sad it was this short xD
I loved every part of it!! It is an amazing free game with a great potential to become bigger than it already is.
The art ,the music,the story.
I basically loved it.
Every character was unique and weren't
hateful.
Even tho I like Leslie more than Meyer, I still loved the scenes with Richter and Meyer together.
Keep on the great work and hopefully there'll be a second release.
Wow....the game is wow.... that's the only thing i can say
¿Esta en español?
I will for sure be replaying this again.
ALLSO I WANNA DRAW FANART NOW.
P.S: the music is catchy as hell
I played this several months back, but I did enjoy it. It's on the short side and I hoped for more endings, but it's a good game.
I loved Your Dry Delight. The music was great and liked how they had a glossary for all the 1920s words we didn't know. I just wish it was longer and had some sexual content.
I love the game, I even use your GUI as a benchmark for my visual novel lol. Keep up the good work!
This was truly the opposite of a dry delight!
ok I'm sorry ;u; just wanted to say i really liked it, k thx
So I got to a point where it says I have to play Leslie's route or go back to the first choice, and I'm confused. Help, please?
This should mean that you just completed Eastman's route and should play Leslie's route (if you have not yet) or play again (to get the 3rd ending).
I only got to the point of Leslie and Meyer deciding that they were going to meet in a hotel. My screen just qent black and then said to do Leslie's route. Is that the ending of the game?
Have you tried playing the game again to access the other routes?
I did, but I did it on the same save. I suppose I will try again! :D
Another great game from argent games. It has a really good story hooking the readers and always getting them interested for more. It's a free game and for a game that is free like this. It has a really high quality. I just wished I could've supported you guys when this game was being made. Pretty sure the story would be longer. i loved your other games i cant wait to play this yay keep up the good work😜
I'm drawn in another temptation of BL game... especially it took the theme of Roaring 20's xD
The approach of same conclusion through different perspectives, accompanied with those rich quotes, is very appreciated ^^
